No matter how hard local councils have tried to get more people recycling, the amount of waste we recycle is usually less than 25%. We thought there had to be another way to get people recycling and so teamed up Source with Artmongers to produce Cowbins. The first pilot in Lewisham saw tonnage of waste recycled increase by 61%. Cowbins and Calfbins are available to buy from Taylor. We can adapt the accompanying Feed the Cows children’s sticker book for your area or school.
In partnership with Lewisham Council and the Met Police we designed a two tier hard hitting communications campaign to reach the perpetrators of domestic violence and the victims. 'Wife Beater?- not who you thought you'd become?' is aimed at male heterosexual perpetrators - asking them to think about the kind of adult they have become. 'Walk away! - don't take the heat, talk to someone' is aimed at the gay community. Posters and beer mats in clubs and pubs along with leaflets handed out in the police station raise awareness of abusive behaviours’ and encourage perpetrators to seek advice. For victims of abuse we designed a discreet information card that could be hidden in a purse along with a larger leaflet, detailing all the organisations that are available to help. Importantly it was written and designed in a way to encourage the reader to feel strong and beautiful rather than weak and victimised.
In partnership with Swede and Comrange, Source designed and built the new knowledge base for the Governance Hub. Timebanking is a tool which builds sustainable social networks by using time as currency. Everyone’s skills are of equal value. One hour = one time credit. Trouble is most Timebanks tend to use a lot of words in their publicity to sell the concept to local people and funders. Source distilled the idea to a few key words that sold Time. Watch out for the new Timebankit.com website.
Prospectus (our parent company) is 50 years old this year. They are a specialist recruitment agency working exclusively with charities, social enterprises, universities, health agencies, arts bodies, membership organisations and government departments - collectively known as the not-for-profit sector. Prospectus is different than most recruitment agencies. At their core is the belief that the people they work with on a daily basis are extraordinary. To celebrate their 50th, Source delivered a complete identity rebrand, including brochures, exhibition stands, website, postcards, invitations to breakfast events and stationery.
